Felcanine - Prologue

Will cats and dogs ever get along?

Well, the never ending feud is now over. Instead of pulling opposite ends of the rope to see who is better, they have agreed to have peace upon the land.

Felines and Canines finally come together to have what they believe was true harmony--but they have not witnessed an era such as this.

Glow-in-the-dark eyes wander about, in darkness. A cat-like figure with light yellow, velvet fur arises from the shadows of her mid-day nap. "Ever since ties were made, everything is now different even unto this day, I say." It turns around to a glass behind. She questions with a sigh, "My reflection, I ask of you, why - why do you not appear as my ancestors?"

In generations past, all Felcanine looked like their parents. Now, with each new generation brought forth, uniqueness was found at every corner. Confusion was common, nowadays. No one looked like another.

It is but rare to hear this one question anymore, 'Are you more cat or dog?'

And the only response would be, "I am Felcanine and so are you."

Quietly, some then think to themselves, "Has this gone too far or is it for the better and the new norm?"
